The "Time of Year" to Remember Jim

The word ‘Yahrzeit’ is Yiddish and is translated to mean “time of year.” In Judaism, there is a focus on carrying on the memory of those before us from generation to generation. Jim died two years ago today. It still doesn’t feel like it’s been that long even though we have taken care of three generations of kittens since he passed and the youngest turned one last April 3rd.

The book and the website are part of Jim’s legacy as much as his offspring are. Because of Jim, there was a mission. Because of Jim, there was a story. Because of Jim, more animals are being saved from the street.

You never know what’s going to happen when you open your heart. Sometimes it’s like a surprise that you were never expecting, and other times it’s a pain that you thought you could handle but couldn’t. Jim was both!
