This year is the 100th Anniversary of my favorite children's book. It is a story with a timeless theme that makes it relevant even today. It has never gone out of print since its first edition. The artwork may be different, but the story remains the same. I just ordered my Anniversary Edition.
I heard someone say that the most popular and long-lasting books for children are usually sad stories. This one is no exception, but it is still beautifully told.
